Chapter Board

I have been a volunteer with IMA Lebanon chapter since its establishment, Over the years, i went up throughout the hierarchical ladder to become the secretary of the board during the tenure of the last two presidents, and, in January 2023, i was elected as president.

As far as my educational background, i have a masters 1 degree in audit from the Lebanese University along with the CMA.

Also i find great interest in learning foreign languages.

On a social level, i work with families in need. For several years, i was part of S'AIME charitable organization.

I have been working in the accounting field for the last 14 years of which 9 years were in the insurance sector. At present, i am the assistant manager accountant in Risk Operations SAL , a shared service company.

My objective during my term as president is to implement the knowledge i acquired  over the years, to the best interest of the CMAs and the IMA Lebanon Chapter

I am truly honored to have been elected to the Board of Directors of the IMA Lebanon chapter and to have the chance to contribute to a vision that I am so strongly committed to. 

I studied Business at HEC, Montréal. Worked and lived in Canada for ten years before moving back to Lebanon. I earned my CMA certification in 2011 . Over my career, I held a number of  managerial positions where, as expected, communication was a key aspect. In addition, I now primarily work as a financial consultant for small and medium-sized companies.

I Strongly believe that communication is the most important key for leadership success and that my communication skills, dedication and commitment make me a good fit for this role. I'm looking forward to working with the other board members to advance our chapter.

Been an IMA Member since 2020, proud to be part of Lebanon Chapter board, and willing to collaborate with other members under the supervision of an international association of professionals to empower our careers and further develop our skills.

Have BA in Accounting and Auditing from Lebanese University, MBA in accounting Information Systems from LIU, and hold the CMA  certification.

Have ten years of experience in accounting and auditing. Worked as treasurer for the Lebanese University Medical center and supported the funding of medical care for special social cases. Currently, working for LU central administration and collaborating with all departments and branches mainly in auditing , budgeting and inventory control. 

As I was progressing through my 20 years’ career in Finance and Accounting, the CMA certification which I earned in 2012, in addition to my Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance, have provided me with the necessary skills to achieve a seat at the leadership table. 

Since 2020, I have been appointed as the Head of Finance at Beirut Insurance Group. Previously, I have held the position of Accounting Manager at Arabia Insurance Company..

As a CMA certified, i believe my career is a journey of success and continuous  learning. i have worked with different teams and cultures, got many promotions, have been nominated as a bronze level leader by the IMA Global and been awarded a certificate of recognition by Arabia Insurance Company for my 16 years with the company as being a champion for Quality and Compliance..

My election as Treasurer at IMA Lebanon Chapter Board has opened a new journey for me as a global volunteer. I am very excited to promote the management accounting profession and inspire the young professionals realize their full potential.
